The files won't play, or they look funny, or they sound funny, I assume. Have no fear! Help is here!
First, determine the file type. Windows MediaViewer-format files end
in .WMV, while RealMedia-format files end in
.rm. If your system helpfully hides extensions, try the
"properties" dialog, if there is one. (You might have to
right-click.) Or, just try reading it as one format, and if that
doesn't work, try the other.
For WMV files, if you're not using Windows, you may need a player. Some free (as in beer or as in speech) programs are:
For RealMedia format files, get the free (as in beer) RealOne player for your platform. (I know that Windows and MacOS is supported.)
