Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 |
The distress call had led Becca to a seemingly deserted office block in downtown Los Angeles. Nobody appeared to be at work, but then it was gone midnight after all.
Becca managed to gain entry into the building without tripping the alarm and she stealthily made her way through the corridors towards the signal she was picking up on her sensor. As she reached the wall at the end of the corridor she looked, puzzled, at her readings.
"This is odd," Becca thought to herself, checking and double checking her sensor's read out. "According to this, I'm stood right next to whatever is emitting this distress call..."
She turned around, circling on the spot, but the readings remained the same. She considered for a moment, then realised that as well as numerous storeys above her, there could just as easily be a couple - if not more - beneath where she was standing. Adjusting her sensor accordingly, Becca re-scanned the area.
Sure enough, the signal was indeed coming from below her.
"Gotcha." Becca grinned to herself and went to locate the nearest elevator.
"It appears that she has discovered our whereabouts after all, sir." Androidus' henchman declared, turning from the monitor as it relayed the images from the multitude of hidden cctv cameras in the offices above.
"Well, that is the result we were hoping for, after all, isn't it?" Androidus replied, semi-sarcastically.
"Has the elevator been suitably 'prepared'?"Androidus inquired of his henchman. The man turned and smiled broadly at his employer.
"Yes sir, she will have no idea what hit her until it is too late."
Androidus walked towards the table and the monitor to take a closer look just as Becca used her phenomenal strength to prise open the closed-off elevator and walk inside.
"Excellent." He said, totally devoid of emotion.
They watched the monitor as the super powered Satin prised open the elevator doors and entered the elevator.
Inside the elevator, Becca discovered that the floor she was on already was as low as she could technically go - there was no button anywhere in sight for any lower level.
"I just do not get this...." She thought to herself. "There must be some kind of hidden switch somewhere - surely!"
As she probed and felt the face of the button panel, Becca felt and heard a creaking inside the elevator. She stopped and froze for a moment.
"Maybe it is rigged to automatically descend by itself after a period of time." She figured.
Suddenly, the floor of the elevator split open right down the middle, like twin doors opening, and Satin suddenly felt her heart in her mouth as - totally surprised - she began to plummet down into the shadowy depths of the elevator shaft.
Startled by the sudden absence of floor, Becca shrieked out, echoing through the shaft as she fell through what seemed to be a great many floors. She vaguely became aware of a murky mist or fog around her as she fell. It had to have been at least six or seven floors. Satin hit the ground with a sickening thump, totally winding her. However, a seven floor drop was not enough to put her out of commission for very long. She tried to focus through the fog and took in a gulp of air to replace what had just been knocked out of her.
It was gas....Knockout gas....An extremely potent and fast working knockout gas.
Becca just about registered that she had fallen into a cloud of the gas, and was therefore in some kind of trouble, before she succumbed to it's powerful anaesthetic and collapsed unconscious on the ground.
The elevator door opened and a plastic suited man in respirator equipment stepped towards the stricken heroine. Becca was oblivious to anything now.
"She's totally out cold, sir." The suited figure rasped into his communicator.
"Excellent," Sneered Androidus. "Ensure that you remove her power belt immediately...when she awakes I want her to be totally and utterly at my mercy."
The figure knelt beside the costumed adventuress and slid his arm around her waist, relishing his chance to get up close and personal with the sexiest super heroine ever, and untied her power-giving belt. He slowly removed it, sliding his arm back around her delicious waist, caressing the body of the imperilled Becca as he did so.
"I have the belt, sir."
Androidus had her. He knew he finally had her right where he wanted her. Though Becca had no way of knowing, she was now in the most serious peril she had ever faced. This made Androidus grin from ear to ear.
"Bring her into the enclosure." He said curtly.
"Sir." Replied the henchman, lifting her inert body from the floor and carrying her down the basement corridor.
Androidus watched as the costumed heroine dangled helplessly, carried by his henchman to what would soon prove to be the most frightening, terrifying, sinister death trap she has ever faced.
He grinned.
"Soon, Satin..."He laughed to himself.
"....Soon...."
