THE EXCHANGE

by Dr. Chloroform

Becca had enjoyed a day off from being Supergirl. She went shopping in a flattering yellow sundress, and returned home with a smile on her lovely face. The smile vanished instantly when she saw her Supergirl costume lying spread out on the couch. "What the . . . MMFFF?" Becca's words were cut off by a pad clamped over her nose and mouth, and the odor of chloroform invades her nostrils. "Becca is Supergirl," The Costumed Villain said as he held the struggling Becca while the chloroform did it's work, "What a lovely surprpise. Sweet dreams, Becca." Becca's eyes fluttered uncontrollably. She couldn't move, could barely think. Everything was spinning out of control, and she soon found herself falling into darkness. IF YOU WANT TO SEE SUPERGIRL ALIVE AGAIN YOU'LL DO THE FOLLOWING . . . The note began, and the costumed heroine knew what she had to do. Batman's last encounter with Supergirl had been a very interesting one. He looked forward to seeing her again. As he walked down the steps of the Superheroine League mansion he was filled with anticipation. Suddenly in a blur of red, white, and blue, Banner streaked into the room. She grabbed the Caped Crusader from behind and place a chloroform soaked cloth over her nose and mouth. Caught completely off guard, Batman took a deep breath of the sickly sweet anesthetic, and immediately began to fall into a deep slumber. "I'm sorry, Batman," Banner said as she pick up the unconscious Batman, and carried him to an unknown fate. The old circus grounds had been chosen by the villain for the meeting. That gave Banner a good idea who was behind this all. She streaked into the tent to see Supergirl, in costume, tied to a chair, seemingly coming to. Instead of the Joker, however, was an unfamiliar man in a black bodysuit and pink mask. "Who are you?" Banner asked as she gentle put the unconscious Batman on the ground.

"I'm an the Pink Nightstalker," He said in a menacing voice. "Okay, in the first place, your name's too long . . . ," Banner began to comment. "You're opinion doesn't matter, especially since you are doomed," The Villain said, and tossed a pie right at the Patriotic Speedstrix's face. Stunned by the strangeness of the attack, Banner was unable to prevent the cream pie from hitting her in the face. It fall off, leaving her beautiful feature covered in the odd smelling cream. She opened her eyes and instantly realized she couldn't move or speak. "That's right by dear," The Pink Nightstalker gloated, "That was a paralyzing cream pie. Now you're mine to do with as I wish." "That's the trouble with villains these days," Supergirl said from behind him, causing him to turn around, "No attention span." The last thing that the Villain saw was Supergirl's fist flying toward his face. He landed next to the recovering Batman, who looked up to see Supergirl looking down at him. "I'll say this for you, Supergirl," Batman commented, seeing the immobile Banner in the background, "You really are an interesting second date."

The End.
