It's been a while since the last chapter. To summarize, SuperBecca has fought ..... and been beaten by ..... a new opponent - MegaWoman. MegaWoman apparently has defeated many superheroines, taking their costumes as trophies and displaying them in her Temple of Conquests. This was the site of Becca's latest futile attempt to fight MegaWoman. SuperBecca was utterly defeated and appeared doomed when suddenly both Powergirl and Wonder Woman, both previous conquests of MegaWoman, arrived on the scene. Will they rescue Becca and be able to defeat MegaWoman?????
Powergirl and Wonder Woman stepped through the destroyed doorway and both assumed a pretty good reproduction of SuperBecca's Power Stance. Both women had been forced to alter their normal costuming since their standard outfits were "on display" on MegaWoman's crystal statues. Powergirl was clad in the yellow and white body suit, tights and knee-high boots which she frequently wore as an alternate to the red-white-and blue gear that MegaWoman had stolen. Diana wore her trademark red bustier top with star-spangled briefs but clearly this was an new, updated version of her classic uniform. The briefs were cut higher across her hips giving a more modern, though perhaps less modest, look. Another difference was red gloves trimmed in gold that molded over Diana's forearms and reached to mid-bicep. Diana wore her bullet-deflecting bracelets over the gloves. But the biggest difference was the replacement of Diana's flat, knee-high red boots by high-heeled, thigh-high boots - also trimmed in gold.
Although the difference in costumes was noted by Becca, this was no time to be a fashion critic. Becca's mind was numbed by the beating she had taken at the hands of MegaWoman, and she was too weak to lift her aching body from floor for a better view. Still, Becca knew it could be critical that she notice every detail of her surroundings as she might notice something that she could untimately use to her advantage. As she struggled to survey the scene, she not only noted the change in costume but something else. Something wasn't right! Becca couldn't pinpoint the problem but there was something about Powergirl and Wonder Woman that just wasn't right! Her opportunity for observation did not last for more that a split second as the newly arriver heroines saw SuperBecca was in dire straits. Powergirl charged into battle against MegaWoman while Diana - Wonder Woman - sped to Becca's side.
Becca had been dazed by MegaWoman's blasts to her head. As Diana reached her, Becca was lying motionless upon the floor. Diana placed one of her hands behind Becca's back and lifted the Girl of Steel's torso into an upright position. The other hand brushed away the mop of sweat drenched hair from Becca's face. SuperBecca's eyeballs had rolled back into her head leaving only their ghastly whites to greet Wonder Woman who gasped at the sight of the obviously helpless Becca. If MegaWoman could do THIS to the mighty Supergirl, she had t obe even more powerful that Diana had beleived from her own experience. "Becca!" urged Wonder Woman, "Wake up!" Diana shook the lifeless SuperBecca. "Please! Wake up! BECCA! SUPERGIRL!!!"
A low moan finally emerged from SuperBecca's mouth as her pupils slowly rolled down into view. Although she had been conscious when Wonder Woman and Powergirl had arrived, another wave of weakness had washed over Becca so that she was out of it when Diana had reached her side. Now, Becca was still motionless but appeared to returning to consciousness. "Snap out of it Becca!" urged Wonder Woman. "We've got to get out of here!"
Becca's pupils seemed to finally focus and indeed the image of Diana - Amazon princess - finally registered in SuperBecca's battle-muddled brain. "D...Diana! You're ...here!"
"Yes, Becca. Both Kara and I are here. Kara's keepin' MegaWoman busy. But we've gotta get outta here....NOW!" Diana struggled to lift Becca to her feet - Becca offering not the least bit of assistance in her struggles. Becca looked at Wonder Woman. "Why leave??? We can show MegaWoman that she made a big mistake messing with earth's superheroines! Together we can teach her a lesson. Uggghhh......"
Becca seemed to fade again but managed to hang on to awareness for Diana's reply." NO, Becca!," said Wonder Woman resuming her struggle to get Becca to her feet. "We've gotta get away! Neither Kara nor I are in any condition to take her on. We're still too weak from our last battles. It took almost everything we had just to fly here after we learned you'd been hauled off by MegaWoman. We knew you could be in big trouble ..... she didn't bother to carry either of us away.....just took our costumes and left us lying naked .... powerless...... defeated. We didn't know what she might do to you......or to us if we don't escape!!!"
Becca's vision had cleared enough to finally get a really good look at the Amazon. Her spirits, which had been buoyed by the appearance of her two allies, were dashed by what she saw. Wonder Woman ..... the Amazon Princess .... looked frail, weak .... almost scrawny. Her normally fabulous physique was absent and her costume fit loosely upon a frame that was clearly missing precious muscle. Even Wonder Woman's proud chest - breasts more impressive than even SuperBecca's own - seemed to be shrunken. As if to confirm Becca's worst fears, Diana tugged on the top of her sinking bustier struggling to reposition her costume over breasts which were too small to fill and support the outfit which was sized for a more voluptuous Wonder Woman. It was demoralizing enough for Becca to notice Diana's shrunken boobs but her loss of muscle was even more devastating. Clearly Wonder Woman had been through the wringer and hadn't recovered!
Have Wonder Woman and Powergirl arrived as Becca's rescuers or have they just placed themselves .... and SuperBecca .... in further peril?
